With a background in family law, Andrew P. Griffin is an associate at Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC. His practice spans multiple areas, including divorce, equitable distribution, custody, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements as well as collaborative law.
Andrew received his Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law. While at Duquesne, he won the Shalom Moot Court Award for his role on the Appellate Moot Court Board and participation in the Federal Bar Association’s Annual Thurgood A. Marshall Memorial Moot Court Competition and the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. During his law school tenure, he also earned a prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award.
A strong writer and natural educator, Andrew won the Best Appellate Brief and Outstanding Oral Argument awards within his section of Duquesne’s nationally ranked Legal Research and Writing Program, a course for which he later served as a research and teaching assistant.
Most recently, Andrew served as a certified legal intern for PennDOT in the Governor’s Office of General Counsel, where he drafted preliminary objections, motions and briefs as well as argued license suspension appeals before various Courts of Common Pleas throughout western Pennsylvania.
Andrew is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Family Law Section, as well as the Family Law Section and Young Lawyers Division of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
