PITTSBURGH – Aimee L. Burton of Pollock Begg Komar Glasser LLC (PBKG) will be presenting at the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Summer Meeting, July 7-10, 2011, in Lake George, NY.

The semi-annual meeting is a multi-day event consisting of educational and networking programs for family law attorneys and judges based throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Burton will be presenting in a workshop entitled: The Intersection of Assisted Reproduction and Family Law. The session will explore how biotechnology continues to shape the expansion of the nuclear family and the definition of parenthood. Examples of questions that will be addressed are: can more than two parties share legal custody; can a sperm donor be absolved of a duty of support and should frozen embryos be divided in equitable distribution? Other speakers include Bonnie M. Hoffman, David L. Ladov, and Mark A. Momjian.

Burton, an associate at Pollock Begg, is a member of the Pennsylvania, Allegheny County and Washington County Bar Associations and has served a term as a council member for the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
