Partner Joseph R. Williams Named to 2018 Best Lawyers in America List

Pollock Begg’s youngest partner, Joseph R. Williams, who has only been practicing law for eight years, has been named to the Best Lawyers in America 2018 lists for family law, family law arbitration and family law mediation.

Williams was nominated for the first time this year and received enough votes for the family law list as well as the sub categories of family law arbitration, which was added for the first time in 2017, and family law mediation.  Best Lawyers usually does not recommend nomination of lawyers practicing fewer than 10 years as it is extremely rare for those lawyers to receive enough votes from peers for recognition. Williams joined Pollock Begg as a law clerk in 2008, was promoted to associate in 2009 after being admitted to the bar, and joined the leadership ranks as partner in 2014. His rapid ascension has not gone unnoticed by his peers. Williams has been named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars list since 2012. In 2013, he was named to Lawyers on the Fast Track by The Legal Intelligencer, an honor bestowed upon just 38 attorneys statewide. In 2017, Williams received the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the Allegheny County Bar Association.  He now adds the honor of three listings in the Best Lawyers in America to his accolades as well.
