About Pollock Begg
An intellectual influencer in the legal marketplace, downtown Pittsburgh-based Pollock Begg focuses on innovative, team-oriented solutions to resolve domestic matters.
The firm formed as Pollock Begg Komar Glasser in 2001 when two of the biggest law firms in Pittsburgh eliminated their matrimonial law departments. David S. Pollock, partner and head of Reed Smith’s matrimonial group, envisioned a powerhouse family law firm and sought out the best divorce and domestic relations lawyers in western Pennsylvania, recruiting partners Todd M. Begg, Daniel H. Glasser and Candice L. Komar from Buchanan Ingersoll. The firm expanded its name to Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC in 2012 with the addition of named partner Brian C. Vertz. The firm added a sixth partner, Joseph R. Williams, in 2015 and two more, Stephanie L. Jablon and Heather Trostle Smith in 2018, before condensing its name to Pollock Begg in 2019. In 2024, Partner Elisabeth W. Molnar joined the firm’s leadership team.
Anchored in tradition, but progressive in nature, the Pollock Begg leadership team adopts the best emerging techniques in family law and deftly adapts as the industry evolves and their clients’ needs change.
Starting with just two associates, the firm now boasts an average of 15 lawyers and 30 employees, making it one of the largest law firms in western Pennsylvania focused solely on family law. Consistently ranked as a top-tier law firm by U.S. News and World Report, Pollock Begg drives legal expectations in the industry with attorneys serving in leadership positions within numerous matrimonial law organizations and participating in pro bono work, volunteer, and community endeavors.
