What is Super Lawyers?

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes 12 different indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection for the Rising Stars list is the same as Super Lawyers with one exception: a Rising Star candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Just 5% of attorneys are selected to Super Lawyers, and only 2.5% are named to the Rising Stars listing.

What is The Best Lawyers in America?

First published in 1983, The Best Lawyers in America is the oldest and most respected peer-reviewed publication in the legal profession. Awardees are selected through exhaustive peer-review surveys in which tens of thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. Once included in The Best Lawyers listing, an attorney must maintain those votes in subsequent polls to remain on the list for each addition. Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America recognizes attorneys who have been in practice for 9 years or less using the same methodology as Best Lawyers.

Since 2010, Best Law Firms has offered the most credible rankings of exceptional law firms, based on a rigorous evaluation process including the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer reviews from leading attorneys in their field and professional review of information provided by law firms through the submission process. Achieving a tiered ranking in Best Law Firms signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise.
