December 19, 2018 | Press Releases
PITTSBURGH — Downtown family law firm Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC has named Stephanie L. Jablon and Heather Trostle Smith partners in the firm.
“We’re extremely pleased to recognize Stephanie and Heather for their hard work and accomplishments,” said David S. Pollock, founding partner. “Both embody our firm’s high standards in serving clients and assuming leadership roles within the legal community.”
Jablon holds certifications in both mediation and collaborative law and is an executive committee member of the Collaborative Law Association of Southwest Pennsylvania.
She is a member of the Family Law sections of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County bar associations, also serving as co-chair of the ACBA Collaborative Law Committee. Jablon was named to the list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars every year from 2010 through 2013.
A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and Widener University School of Law, Jablon was admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania in May 2001. She began her legal career as the law clerk to the Honorable Robert G. Bigham of the Court of Common Pleas of Adams County, Pennsylvania, and previously worked with Edward Weintraub & Associates in Harrisburg, concentrating in family law matters.
Focusing her practice on high net worth individuals and complex financial cases, Trostle Smith is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County bar associations and has served as a member of the ACBA Family Law Section Council, co-chairing its Program and Legislative committees.
Trostle Smith began her legal career concentrating in commercial matters, professional liability, personal injury law and family law with Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti LLP, a well-known commercial litigation firm, and also worked for the legal department of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Trostle Smith graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh and received her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
“For some time, Heather and Stephanie have been taking on expanded and/or primary roles in cases, and each brings areas of strength that will complement the skill sets of the firm’s six other partners,” said Candice L. Komar, founding partner. “We look forward to their contributions in the leadership and management of our firm.”
The firm name will not change to include the addition of the new partners.
