Our family law firm took full advantage of the special opportunity to sponsor Front Porch Theatrical’s Fundraiser Cabaret this year. Front Porch is the producer of the recent shows, “Big Fish” and “Violet,” at the New Hazlett Theater. Pollock Begg’s own David S. Pollock, founding partner, and his wife, Rita, proudly served as co-chairs for the event, in addition to donating a sponsorship toward the theater’s continued success in the new year.

The Cabaret cast reprised performances from their 2017 casts of both productions, performing songs selected from shows in addition to selected favorites from productions performed in years past. Local Broadway star Billy Hartung sang songs and performed dances from “Big Fish,” and sang with his daughter.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “It was announced that August productions of ‘Big Fish’ became Front Porch’s first show to sell out all of its performances. Star Billy Hartung, a Broadway actor and head of Mt. Lebanon’s Center for Theater Arts, joined cast members in a medley, lifting stage son Mario Williams onto his shoulders once more, then sang with his daughter Elizabeth, the oldest of his six children with wife Sharon.”

The musical shows for 2018 (“A New Brain” and “Grey Gardens”) were also announced at the fundraiser, as well as a live preview of the theater’s upcoming musical content.

At Pollock Begg, we take our leadership responsibilities seriously, encouraging and emulating a diverse, philanthropic and civic-minded spirit. We believe in supporting community and charitable endeavors throughout Pittsburgh and encourage our staff and attorneys to participate in these worthwhile efforts as well.
