Diversity & Equity
Cultivating a Culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Pollock Begg values the unique backgrounds and perspectives of each of our team members and strives to promote an environment in which all attorneys, staff and clients feel welcome and heard.
Pollock Begg is proud to be among the first law firms in the region to receive ALLY certification from the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Championed by Pollock Begg Partner Joseph R. Williams during his presidency of the ACBA in 2021-22, the ALLY initiative was designed to encourage legal organizations to commit to increasing inclusivity, creating equitable workplaces and empowering historically marginalized and underrepresented members of the bar.
Pollock Begg was among 23 legal organizations in the inaugural cohort of ALLY (Attorneys, Learning as allies, Living as allies and Yielding results), which launched in March 2022. To earn certification, the firm met various criteria designed to increase exposure to diversity, promote diversity in recruitment and hiring practices and create a more fair and just legal system.
Pollock Begg continues to look for ways to help create a welcoming atmosphere for all. Embracing professional development opportunities and a culture of inclusion, the firm strives to offer a work environment that encourages the growth of each individual team member. Through pro bono work, volunteer initiatives and community endeavors, we reaffirm our commitment to seeking justice and expanding access to legal services in our region and the broader legal community.
