Attorney Robert Raver Elected to ACBA Family Law Section Council

PITTSBURGH — Robert D. Raver, associate attorney at Downtown Pittsburgh family law firm Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC, begins his three-year tenure as a council member to the Allegheny County Bar Association Family Law Section after his election last spring.

At 29 years old, Raver is one of the ACBA FLS Council’s youngest members. He is co-chair of the social committee, which is planning a diversity event as well as regular social outings for members.

“I’m honored to be a member of the ACBA Family Law Section Council,” said Raver. “Mentoring and serving others is my passion, and I cannot think of a better place to share my voice.”

Raver complements his work ethic in the courthouse by teaching students and mentoring other young lawyers. In February, he will lead a course on divorce tax issues at the Community College of Allegheny County. In the past, he has also taught this course with Pollock Begg founding partner David S. Pollock at both CCAC and Penn State University.

The ACBA FLS Council facilitates a meeting place for members to further their development and practices in family law. It encourages both legal and nonlegal service to the community, and also stands as a catalyst for interpretation and implementation of the law. The ACBA FLS Council meets monthly amongst various section committees.
