Family Law Attorney Joe Williams Participates in Second Annual PICT UnCommon Pleas Fundraiser

PITTSBURGH — Divorce attorney Joseph R. Williams, partner at Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC, joins a prestigious cast as an enigmatic advocate in the second annual PICT Classic Theatre UnCommon Pleas fundraiser. The event, a mock trial inspired by Shakespeare’s “The Tempest,” features former Governor Tom Corbett as Prospero and former Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato as Caliban. Co-sponsored by the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Arts and Law Committee and Young Lawyers and Homer S. Brown divisions, part of the proceeds benefit the Allegheny County Bar Foundation as well as PICT Classic Theatre’s educational programs.
Williams is the chair of the ACBA Young Lawyers Division, which serves nearly 2,000 young attorneys in the county. He has been named to the list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars since 2012 and was also named a Lawyer on the Fast Track by The Legal Intelligencer in 2013, an honor bestowed upon just 38 lawyers.
Receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bethany College in 2006, Williams went on to earn a doctorate of law from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2009. He remains actively involved and serves on the Duquesne Law Alumni Association Board of Directors.
