Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz Hires Two New Associates

PITTSBURGH — Downtown-based Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC announces the hiring of Robert D. Raver and Jamie R. Marsh as associates in the firm. Both bring a wealth of experience and a list of accolades to the practice, bolstering its team of family law experts.

Raver received his juris doctorate from the Duquesne University School of Law. He took trial advocacy with Judge Jeffrey Manning and received awards for his participation in the Civil and Family Justice Law Clinic at Duquesne and the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition. As part of the clinic, Raver served as a certified legal intern for the Allegheny County Law Department.  After Raver completed the clinic, he joined Pollock Begg as a law clerk. While in law school, Raver also served as a research assistant in the legal research and writing department at Duquesne University. Prior to law school, Raver served as an aide for the Gertrude A. Barber Center in Erie and Pittsburgh, working with adults with a dual-diagnosis of a developmental disability with a mental health component.

Marsh received her juris doctorate and certificate in civil litigation from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She was a member of the Pitt Law Women’s Society, Phi Alpha Delta Professional Law Fraternity. Marsh was awarded the University of Pittsburgh School of Law Community Service Award upon graduation. While in school, Marsh also served as certified legal intern for the Sikov Elder Law Clinic at Pitt Law where she represented elderly and indigent clients with a variety of estate planning and elder law issues. She has also worked as a law clerk at Sikov and Love, P.A. and Giant Eagle Inc.
