Pittsburgh Divorce Attorney Candice L. Komar Appointed Chair of Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board

PITTSBURGH – Distinguished Pittsburgh divorce attorney and Pollock Begg Partner Candice L. Komar was selected by the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court to serve as Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Board, beginning May 1.

The 60,000 plus lawyers in Pennsylvania are required to complete continuing legal education classes yearly to maintain their licensure. The 10-member CLE Board is appointed by the state Supreme Court to administer the rules pertaining to continuing education. Komar will lead the board in its mission to ensure attorneys continue to learn and maintain the requisite knowledge and skill needed to fulfill their professional responsibilities.

“The legal landscape is ever evolving with new laws, regulations and technologies, as well as changes in societal norms,” Komar said. “It is essential lawyers stay abreast of these changes, not only to maintain the high standards of our profession, but to provide knowledgeable and effective legal services to their clients. Komar has served as a member of the CLE Board since 2019, most recently as vice chair. Throughout her career, Komar also has been active in the Family Law division of both her state and local bar associations. She currently serves as secretary of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law section.
