Pittsburgh Family Law Attorney Candice Komar Advocates for Women’s Heart Health
February 03, 2017 | Community
Pittsburgh family law attorney Candice L. Komar is proud to support the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign again this year as a Circle of Red member. More than a financial contribution for Candice, it’s a personal mission to advocate for the overall health of women as well as advance the organization’s initiatives. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The AHA created Go Red for Women to dispel myths and raise awareness about this issue.
Circle of Red is a society of women who have the passion, the motivation and inspiration to drive and influence change in the community regarding heart health of women in their community and across the country. Circle of Red women help support the mission of Go Red For Women by making a personal financial commitment to the movement. Candice is a founding partner of our downtown Pittsburgh family law firm and focuses on all aspects of matrimonial law, particularly with complex cases, high net worth individuals and collaborative law. She has generously supported Go Red for Women as a Circle of Red member for three years.
As the largest law firm dedicated solely to family law in western Pennsylvania, we believe we should encourage and emulate a leadership position in philanthropic endeavors. We believe strongly in supporting our community and encourage our attorneys and support staff to devote time and resources to charitable activities whenever possible. Members of our Pittsburgh family law practice recently participated in the AHA’s 2016 Pittsburgh Heart Walk and Candice and many others at our firm are decked out today in red to acknowledge National Wear Red Day, a nationwide initiative in support of women with heart disease and stroke.
